The Floorist has supplied and installed Grey Fossil Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) for this recently completed government building in Abu Dhabi. The stone-inspired finish was chosen to provide a calm and uniform base throughout the interior.

Warm timber finishes, black-framed glazing, and soft grey upholstery and architectural ceiling details have been used throughout the space to complement the flooring. This understated stone effect creates visual continuity between circulation areas, workspaces and shared zones, rather than competing with these elements.
The slight variation means the large flooring areas will not look totally uniform, but will still look neat overall.
One of the strongest things about the finished scheme is how the flooring connects different parts of the building.
The LVT is used in corridors, open areas and circulation routes, creating a consistent visual direction when the users move through the interior. Where the LVT meets the carpet, the different materials are delineated by clean perimeter detailing, allowing each flooring finish to perform its job in its space without disrupting the greater design language.
Careful setting out was very important, especially around glazed partitions and curved meeting spaces, and also at architectural boundaries where the lines of flooring are very visible.
